Inspired by those recipes for faux parmesan sprinkes, I made this tahini spread to put on my toast with some broccoli soup, and it took me a while to figure out what it tasted like. Well…the answer is Goldfish. So weird. But so tasty and addictive (just like Goldfish crackers, I guess).
Anyway, this stuff is really great with crackers, toast or drizzled on broccoli. Who needs cheesy crackers, after all?
“Cheese” Tahini Spread (enough for 2 slices of toast)
3 Tbsp tahini (preferrably the runnier type)
1 Tbsp nutritional yeast
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
(1) Stir all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. Done.
